This review is long overdue! We first came here during COVID, just when businesses started opening back up. It was just the Mr and I for V-Day. He got the filet, I ordered the lobster bites and garlic mash potato. Service and food was great. Fast forward, two years......three of us ladies came to celebrate Carol P's Birthday and this was her place of choice. We started with Arugula salad, fried okra, lobster bites and a bottle of red. For our main course, we had the grilled seafood tower. Our food was great and our service was too, but only in the beginning. As our dinner progressed, she came around less and less. Hence why I'm taking away a star! When we got our check, we were bummed to see that there was an automatic tip because clearly we didn't get that great of a service.

This place is phenomenal. The husband and I started with the garlic cheese loaf which was ridiculously good. It was very hard not to just eat the whole thing! We ultimately decided we would come back at some point and get just the bread and some drinks. I also ordered the fried chicken and was blown away by how crispy, moist, and perfectly seasoned it was. The gravy was excellent, it was almost like a more delicate broth, I have literally never had a gravy like this before and it truly complimented the dish so well without overpowering it. I think it literally changed my palette as far as gravy goes. The potatoes were also simple delicious and another complimentary addition, I loved that it was a rough mash it added an extra textural element. The ambience seemed to be very casual and laid back, which I appreciated. Who doesn't love elevated food in a chill atmosphere? Service was also great!! I will definitely be back!

Every time we come to Q1227, we are gifted with a fantastic experience that completely blows us away! The food is crafted with the best ingredients and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out or a fun get-together with friends. The Q1227 Lobster Bites and the Beef and Bleu are some of our favorite appetizers. For the main course, we had the Southern Fried Chicken and the House Meatloaf, which were out of this world! We cannot wait to return!

This place was SO good! Came here to celebrate a birthday and everything was exceptional! The service is really great, our waitress was really helpful and recommend great wine choices and dishes for us to try. We got to sit right next to the kitchen and saw all the action going on. We ordered the meatloaf and the fried chicken and both were really flavorful and filling. The fried chicken was boneless, so it's not your typical bone in fried chicken and it's played on gravy. The meatloaf was really good and flavorful on a bed of mashed potatoes. If you like southern food would recommend this spot!

I love my hometown but if you ask me my favorite place in the US is to visit (it's NOLA). From the culture to the food and the music I feel like Chef Q and his wife executed it perfectly! I read online that they do take walk ins but I highly recommend making reservations. I came in on a Thursday night around 7pm and it was packed. We were checked in right away and seated. Our server was on top of it and brought us menus and water and went over the food with us. We ended up getting Artichoke beignets, shrimp and grits and the Q1227 burger. Shrimp and grits were perfectly seasoned and the first bite transported me back to Nola. I ended up having a bite out of my bfs wagyu burger and we both ended up thinking about that burger for the next week! I came in with high expectations (especially when Chef Q has a high reputation to uphold) From cooking for former presidents to Sacramento Kings player to singers like Shawn Mendes and talk show host: Steve Harvey and Danny Glover the list goes on and on. Chef Q did not disappoint and this is my new go to restaurant. Also props to Chef Q for being one of the few Black owned restaurants in Roseville. We need more restaurants like this in the area!!

Q1227 always delivers! Came to celebrate my husband's birthday and was pleased! The food at Q1227 is simply fantastic. We had the lobster bites, mac & cheese, lamb Wellington, and Qdog for dinner. The lobster bites are a must-try--so delicious! The mac & cheese was savory and satisfying, and the lamb Wellington was excellent, especially with the sauce. The Qdog was hearty and filling, and the cobbler was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. From the moment we arrived, the service at Q1227 was impressive. The servers and hosts were attentive and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Their friendly and professional demeanor really enhanced our dining experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and always busy, but they do a great job of making the service feel personalized. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a memorable dinner. Overall, Q1227 offers a delightful combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere. Highly recommend! Much respect for Chef Q! Love supporting a local restaurant.

FOOD - Tomato Basil Soup with Grilled Cheese Croutons: the grilled cheese croutons were mixed into the soup so you have to dig for them. I would have liked it better if the croutons were on top so they weren't so soggy. Still good though. 4/5 - Southern Fried Chicken: 2 huge slices of fried chicken over garlic mash potatoes and gravy. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Mashed potatoes were good. 5/5 - Mac & Cheese: deliciousness. I barely had room for it but it was great the next day with my leftover fried chicken. 4/5 - Carrot Cake: so good! 4.5/5 SERVICE: very professional. Our food came out in a timely manner. The chef came out to greet us. 5/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I highly recommend this establishment. Great service, even better food.

Saturday, 3/16/2024 - went here to celebrate a birthday. We had a great time. Pro 1) staff were great 2) service ok 3) water tastes great 4) foods tastes great 5) restaurant clean 6) our plates, utensils, cups, table all clean 7) plenty of parking Cons 1) took some time to get our meals 2) no open bar here, limited on drinks if you drink alcohol. Conclusion I love the food here, staffs are professional, ambiance nice, plenty of parking outside, restaurant clean, bathroom clean. I'd come back here again.
